My approach

Welcome to my practice. Systemic psychotherapy is at the heart of my work, rooted in the belief that there isn’t just one “truth”. Each person’s experience deserves to be understood on its own terms. I meet every client with curiosity, openness, and respect, and I place a lot of emphasis on creating a safe, non-judgmental space.

While systemic psychotherapy is my foundation, I take an integrative and holistic approach. I draw on neuroscience, nutrition, and lifestyle science when relevant, exploring how sleep, metabolism, and nutrition influence mental health. I also use techniques from other approaches, including hypnotherapy, trauma-informed practices, and creative methods like writing and art.

I see psychological counselling as a collaborative journey: you set the direction, and I walk alongside you, offering tools, reflections, and sometimes gentle challenges when needed. Clients often describe me as calm, empathetic, and approachable, with an ability to spot connections and patterns that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Over the years, I’ve supported clients facing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, ADHD, trauma, PTSD, sleep issues, eating disorders, relationship difficulties, grief, chronic illnesses, and major life transitions. I also have a particular interest in working on self-esteem, estranged families, and life abroad, drawing from my own experiences as an expat and my extensive work with Erasmus students. My counselling style is compassionate and flexible, but also empowering, encouraging accountability and growth, always at your pace.

My professional background

I hold two master’s degrees from the University of Primorska in Slovenia, one in Psychology and the other in Biopsychology. I also completed a diploma in Psychotherapeutic Propaedeutics at SFU Ljubljana, where I’m now finishing my specialisation in Systemic Psychotherapy and working under supervision as a systemic psychotherapist. Along the way, I’ve trained in EMDR, hypnotherapy, and youth work, and I regularly continue my education through seminars, conferences, and workshops.

My path into this field began at a youth crisis centre in Koper, where I supported children and adolescents in very vulnerable situations. Not long after, I co-founded and led the (Za)upam si project, which offered free psychological counselling to young people (13–30) and carried out campaigns to reduce stigma and encourage help-seeking. At the same time, I began practising psychotherapy with adults at SFU Ljubljana’s psychotherapy services, both in person and online.

In 2023, I moved to Manchester, UK, to take on the role of a research lead at brain feed, a company focused on brain health and nutrition. There, I designed and managed research projects, created content, and contributed to product innovation in areas such as mental health, genetics, crucial brain metabolic pathways, and nutrition. This role deepened my understanding of how brain function, body health, and psychological wellbeing are interconnected - knowledge I now bring into my therapeutic work. Today, I am opening my own practice, offering online counselling for individuals, couples and families, while continuing to collaborate on projects in psychology, nutrition, and brain health.
